Arm Lift – The Recovery Period
The arm lift procedure provides patients who have severely sagging upper-arm skin with a way to sculpt tighter and more toned-looking arms. The removal of the excess skin and fat on the upper arms produces great results. It also requires some downtime due to the extent of the procedure.
You will experience some pain and numbness during first few days after your arm lift – these can be controlled with the aid of prescription pain-control medications. You will also have a limited range of motion, so having someone to help you perform daily tasks is recommended.
A degree of bruising and swelling is to be expected and should subside within the first few weeks. You will need to take a week off of work following your procedure, and most patients are able to return to their normal activities after about three weeks. After six weeks, you should be fully recovered.
Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Jonathan Heistein will provide you with additional information regarding your recovery that will ensure the quality of your results. If you are interested in receiving an arm lift, please contact our office to schedule a consultation.
